Rod joined the instructor staff of Peachtree Dive Center just this year.  With his vast years of diving experience and international travels, Rod still finds his diving in Cooper River to be among the most enjoyable.  He has an impressive collection of Meglandon teeth, including one that should be on display in a museum.  He might try to convince you that he found this prize possession, but our sources confirm that his wife, Amy, is the true discoverer.  When Rod is not diving, he can be found around his farm or playing with his new grandchild.

Wade brings to Peachtree over 10 years of diving experience.  Diving in Mexico, Bimini and Aruba , plus many fresh water springs and quarries, makes Wade knowledgeable about most diving environments.  Wreck diving is his first choice, but he admits that "ANY DIVING is better than no diving at all".  If you miss Wade at the dive center, you might find him under the hood of an old or classic car or truck that he's in the process of restoring.  You might even recognize him from his NASCAR days, and if you're lucky, you could even get an autograph.  Wade is a man of few words, so when he speaks...be sure to listen.

Tony has come full circle with his diving at Peachtree Dive Center.  He began his Open Water training in 1999, and in 2007 joined the instructor rankings.  If you are familiar with Tony outside of diving, that's probably not a good thing.  As a Sergeant over the K-9 Unit with the Clayton County Police Department, he and his German Shepherd, Champ, help keep our streets safe.  When Tony is not catching the "bad guys" and is not diving, you're likely to see him straddling his Harley Davidson and touring across the country.

John Smith (yes that is his real name) has joined the instructor staff of Peachtree Dive Center.  Although his dive travels have taken him all over Florida, he prefers the diving in Key Largo.  "There's nothing better than the Wrecks and Reefs in Key Largo"!! When John is not diving, or watching his daughter play softball, you may find him on a local golf course trying to get out of the bunker!!  John is always looking for the next big adventure.  Looking for a new dive buddy?  John may be your perfect match.

Robert may be a familiar site for a number of
reasons.  Had a fire lately?  Could have been
Robert to the rescue as a full time firefighter
for Peachtree City.  Robert is an Open Water
Scuba Instructor and Emergency First Response
Instructor.  What better way to learn about saving
lives than from a role model like him?  When he's not fighting fires, you can find Robert in and around the water.

Gary is an Instructor with Peachtree Dive Center.  Since his retirement, you can often find Gary (with wife and dive buddy, Chris) traveling to exotic destinations, like the Cay Sal Banks, Nekton Liveaboard, Cozumel, the Florida Keys or even Crystal River.  Gary is trained and certified to service every major product line that we carry at Peachtree, so if you have an equipment concern... Gary is the one.  You can call Gary almost anything, but just don't call him late for diving.

Chris is a familiar face around Peachtree.  She has greeted many divers as they enter the store, or been a wealth of knowledge in the selection of equipment.  Chris began her diving adventure in 1990 in Lancaster, PA and finally traded in that cold water diving for the warm tropical diving of the south.  As a Instructor, you might find Chris behind her underwater camera or just "hovering" around.

Stuart is not a new addition to Peachtree
Dive Center,  you have probably seen him
many times in the evenings or on weekends
looking for any excuse to get wet.  You
might have even had a class with him.  In
his spare time, which is little, he can be found with his wife Kathy, helping animals of all kind through the Fayette County Humane Society.   Stuart enjoys Underwater Photography and is an Open Water Scuba Instructor and Emergency First Response Instructor.

primary equipment repair technician for
Peachtree Dive Center. He is responsible
for maintaining the entire rental fleet of
regulators, BCD’s and tanks used during training and on trips. Harold
assembles and tests new equipment. He can be found most evenings at
the dive center and on Saturdays when he’s not blowing bubbles in a
cavern somewhere. Have a technical question or want to learn more about
how your equipment works and needs to be maintained, see Harold about
his Equipment Specialty Class.

Daniel is the young and "cool" around the dive center.  Not only is he an Open Water Scuba Instructor and Emergency First Response Instructor, but he is also a United States Coast Guard Captain.  Daniel has been diving all of his life, and has more dives on the Spiegel Grove in Key Largo than most.  When not diving, Daniel can be found working on his truck, or four-wheelers and doing what
most males at his age are... chasing the
LADIES.  He's available for private
snorkel and dive lessons upon request.

Tom is a seasoned instructor of Peachtree Dive
Center and has been teaching since 1993. He is
a PADI Master Instructor and PADI Emergency
First Response Instructor and also teaches over
15 different PADI Specialties including a
distinctive Manatee Awareness Specialty. He
can be found at the dive center most evenings teaching or just "hovering" around with other divers. Looking for him on the weekends? Better go diving, especially November thru February he can be found in Crystal River with the Manatee. He is our resident Underwater Photography Guru so bring in your pictures for a little constructive critiquing.

Kim is a Course Director, Emergency First
Response Instructor Trainer and teaches over 13
different PADI Specialties. In 1997, Kim became
a partner of Peachtree Dive Center. Kim attempts
to fill the size 11 shoes of Robert, while he’s in
the Keys, by following their shared business philosophies and overseeing instruction, inventory and the business ends of Peachtree Dive Center and the expansion into the Florida Keys. Kim can be found most days at the dive center, except when she escapes to the Keys in search of her treasure (Robert).

He also understands that "Customer Service" is what makes a business thrive and be successful. His "try it before you buy it" idea was viewed as ridiculous by many in the business, and as he began to promote comfort and safety among certified divers by opening the pool free of charge for skill review, many continued to question him. Both ideas have proven time after time that
today, with disposable income harder to find and with internet competition,
a traditional retailer must be anything but "traditional". Robert became a
PADI Course Director and Emergency First Response Instructor Trainer in
1992. He is qualified to teach over 20 different PADI Specialty Courses.
Robert retired in 1999, after a 27-year career as a Police Officer with the
City of Atlanta. Robert has continued his business philosophies with the
expansion of an additional store in the Florida Keys. In 2001, Robert became
a United States Coast Guard Master Captain and can often be found behind
the helm station of any number of boats in Key Largo, Florida.

You can reach Robert directly at robert@itsadive.com.
Robert realized during the beginning of his instructional career that in order for students to learn effectively they need several things:
1) Knowledgeable Instructors – who truly enjoy what they teach
2) Environment that promotes learning - (whether in the state-of-the-art classroom or indoor heated pool)
3) Effective Training Materials – that stimulate interest for the underwater world.
Robert has insisted that all three of these factors be present at Peachtree Dive Center.
Robert founded Peachtree Dive Center in 1991 with a unique business philosophy. His vision was to create an environment where individuals interested in learning to SCUBA Dive could do so in a professional, comfortable and FUN atmosphere.
