Open Water Diver Certification

Open Water Diver Certification is the first level of diver training. It provides the basic foundation skills necessary to engage in recreational diving, and forms the basis for all levels of advanced and specialty diver training. Open Water Diver certification is the "learning permit" for recreational diving.

Open Water Training

Following successful completion of Open Water academic and confined water training conducted at Peachtree Dive, students must complete four Open Water Training Dives. Trips are scheduled monthly throughout the year, and more frequently during spring and summer to accommodate your schedule.

The price of the Open Water Training Dives is not included in the class fees. Trip prices start at $250 and vary with the location and number of dives planned. Certification trip prices do include all diving equipment (BCD, tanks, regulator and gauges, dive computer, etc.) lodging, boat and/or diving fees, PADI certification fees and other diving related expenses. Students are responsible for food, transportation and personal expenses.

Students wishing to complete their Open Water Training Dives at a resort area, and not under the supervision of a Peachtree Dive instructor, may do so by obtaining a Letter of Referral, verifying successful completion of the required academic and confined water portions of the Open Water Diver course.

Course Fees

Open Water Diver Course: $325.00
